Kai and I sat down to record drums for another tune and he started playing this drum beat on his own with no guidance or anything, just what he came up with. I caught him playing it with my voice memos on my phone and we went on to record the other tune. The following day I had this melody stuck in my head and wrote the lyrics. When I sat down to record out of curiosity I opened my voice memos and played back his beat. So that drum beat you hear invented this song. When Butch Ross and I were mixing he added in Van playing the keys from a video I had taken (it's the bit that sounds like the Jetson's car in the last verse. So here's me and my boys making music together. Cheers
