Little Bird 03:33
Little Bird I was still learning to fly Your song I heard I saw you set off for the sky My hummingbird Floating, fluttering You flew into my world Standing still like a dream But what I really mean is... Chelsey Lyn, where do I begin To make you see You opened up the sky for me Chelsey Lyn where do I begin To make you see You set my heart and soul at ease So I will spend All of my days Attempting to ascend Wherever your wings raise And if I should jump the nest To give these new wings a test Assuming you've acquiesced Cause what I mean to say is Chelsey Lyn where do I begin To make you see You're the reason that I breathe Chelsey Lyn where do I begin To make you see You've opened up this sky for me

Girl you got me thinking when the lights are dim How the candlelight bounces off your blushing skin Catches my eyes Hope you’re wearing knee-highs tonight Girl you got me feeling like a pilot light All I’ll need is a spark and I’ll be set to ignite I wanna blow your mind or something right along those lines Bella Regazza doncha know that I want ya Bella Regazza I wanna get you higher than high, tonight Bella Regazza doncha know that I want ya Eri un bellissimo spreco di tempo of mine, tonight You got me tangled in a tango with wine flavored tongues Taking my time because the night is still young You know I aim to please you Promise not to tease you too much Tracing constellations of your freckles with my fingers Making you moan like an acid jazz singer There's no need to rush I'm only trying to make you blush Bella Regazza doncha know that I want ya Bella Regazza I wanna get you higher than high, tonight Bella Regazza doncha know that I want ya Eri un bellissimo spreco di tempo of mine, tonight All mine, tonight All mine, tonight

Tiny Box 05:04
Picked up a tiny box from the postman Examined the contents inside A flood gathered in-between my eyelids And with every tear that I cried One tiny box that I hold in my hands The hopes and the dreams of a fortunate man Of all that will come and of all that shall pass Say yes is all that I ask Felt the weight of a promise encircled Felt a wish that my mom was still here Imagined the moment that I ask you Felt the future come into view so clear One tiny box that I hold in my hands The hopes and the dreams of a fortunate man Of all that will come and of all that shall pass Say yes is all that I ask Understated, pretty and classy Just like the woman it's intent is for Strong yet delicate if you ask me Two hearts beating time forever more One tiny box that I hold in my hands The hopes and the dreams of a fortunate man Of all that will come & of all that shall pass Say yes is all that I ask One tiny box that I hold in my hands The hopes and the dreams of a fortunate man Of all that will come and of all that shall pass Say yes is all that I ask Say yes is all that I ask Say yes, say yes, say yes

Indigo 04:35
Indigo, wonder if you'll ever know How you changed my world forever Yeah you made it so much better Indigo, even if I had to go You've got all my love inside you Hope you feel it more than I do, Indigo I'm sure it's all gunna change From now on, but it’ll be ok ‘Cause someone is gunna open the cage And let your soul sing out That it's a brand new day And someday you will see That all this had to be And if you hear me sing oh Indigo, wonder if you'll ever know How you changed my world forever And you made it so much better Indigo, even if I had to go You've got all my love inside you Hope you feel it more than I do, Indigo Sometimes if you feel lost at sea I know that help will come Just like you came to me (If you’re feeling lost and lonely) ‘Cause time will give you all that you need (Remember that you’re not the only) Just get on my shoulders child (Dreamer who feels all you need is love) ‘Cause you'll see farther than me And just like the butterfly You're gunna spread your wings and learn to fly And find that there's no need to cry ‘cause Indigo, wonder if you'll ever know How you changed my world forever And you made it so much better Indigo, even if I had to go You've got all my world inside you Hope you feel it more than I do, Indigo

Dare You Now 02:37
When all my silver linings Seem to gather in my hair When a murder of crows feet Walk across the mirror When quietness and stillness Takes the place of our soirée Will I take on the garden And you the knit crochet? Will you be there for me When there's no songs left to sing? I dare you now, to grow old with me When life becomes vicarious And adventures are all through Will I still be the man Who gives his hand and heart to you? When time comes to claim back All the wisdom I have gained Will you be there beside me Proudly wearing my last name? Will you be there for me When there's no songs left to sing? I dare you now, to grow old with me Will you be there for me When there's no songs left to sing? I dare you now, to grow old with me

I thought I built these walls much higher than this You go and break them down each time we kiss and I’ll bring you tulips by the score If that would make you love me more I don’t know why I feel so scared My hearts a hummingbird each time you’re there and I’ll bring you roses by the score If that would make you love me more I’ll bring you flowers by the score If that would make you love me more I’ll bring you flowers by the score I don’t know what it is you do To always make me fall in love with you and I’ll bring you orchids by the score If that would make you love me more I’ll bring you flowers by the score If that would make you love me more I’ll bring you flowers by the score I’ll bring you flowers by the score I’ll bring you flowers by the score I’ll bring you flowers by the score I’ll bring you flowers by the score

There's a girl on the refrigerator in a clipping from a magazine She's singing sold out shows from New York to New Orleans Well I guess that you could say that she's living the dream But she's the girl from the refrigerator to me She's got her mama's looks and her daddy's harmony Once or twice I even caught her singing along with me I took one look and asked, do you know what I see? Well it’s the girl from the refrigerator to me And don't she play her part so well? In a cast of thousands well she somehow found herself Acting out on stage for all the world to see And she's the girl from the refrigerator to me Loading up my gear as they pull my name from the marquee I'm heading home I haven't seen my Mom for weeks My sister opens up the door but do you know what I see? Well it's the girl from the refrigerator to me She tells me about how sometimes she questions everything Who she is and who she was and who she's meant to be Don't you think it's funny how she's just like you and me But she's the girl from the refrigerator to me And won't she play her part so well? In a cast of millions she will somehow find herself To become everything that she was meant to be ‘Cause she's the girl from the refrigerator to me Yeah she's the girl from the refrigerator to me She's the girl from the refrigerator to me

Clementine 03:24
I swear I've seen a glimpse of you in your Mother's eyes Shining like a super moon on the Fourth of July Patiently you wait for me to get it right Honey I've been waiting too for nearly all my life Someday you'll make your way into your Mother's arms For now I see you hanging from my wishing stars How I've wondered where and what and who you are When you'll come along and how you'll steal my heart But maybe someday you'll be mine Oh my sweet darling Clementine My finger waits for you to wrap yourself around To do my best to always keep you safe and sound To pick you up and dust you off should you fall down Clementine I'll meet you in my dreams for now But maybe someday you'll be mine Oh my sweet darling Clementine Maybe someday you'll be mine Oh my sweet darling Clementine

When I'm 64 02:43
Written by Lennon–McCartney When I get older losing my hair Many years from now Will you still be sending me a valentine Birthday greetings, bottle of wine? If I'd been out till quarter to three Would you lock the door? Will you still need me, will you still feed me When I'm sixty-four? You'll be older too And if you say the word I could stay with you I could be handy, mending a fuse When your lights have gone You can knit a sweater by the fireside Sunday mornings go for a ride Doing the garden, digging the weeds Who could ask for more? Will you still need me, will you still feed me When I'm sixty-four? Every summer we can rent a cottage in the Isle of Wight If it's not too dear We shall scrimp and save Grandchildren on your knee Vera, Chuck & Dave Send me a postcard, drop me a line Stating point of view Indicate precisely what you mean to say Yours sincerely, wasting away Give me your answer, fill in a form Mine for evermore Will you still need me, will you still feed me When I'm sixty-four?

Mother was it hard to raise me? Mother did I make it easy? Mother did I make you proud of me? Mother did I make you happy? Mother am I just like Daddy? Mother did I make you proud of me? Mother did I make you worry? Mother I am in no hurry Mother did I make you proud of me? I never meant make you sorry I do these things because you love me Mother did I make you proud of me? Mother may I love you dearly? You’re always in my heart sincerely Mother did I make you proud of me? Mother will you always love me? Mother can you hear me singing? Mother does it make you proud of me? Mother does it make you proud of me?

I took a walk into the woods Just me & God & with every step I took I thought about you all the while & I can still see your sweet smile I blew the leaves off of the driveway I heard that you were coming soon Sat myself down to read the papers ‘Cause I've prepared this place for you I thought my heart was full long before you arrived No heavens treasure that beats having you by my side the missing piece that fits the hole that I never knew I have prepared this place for you Three swans go flying past my window They trumpet out the sweetest song a melody that I may remember So happy you have come along So come and sing let me call you Sweetheart Gather round the children neath our feet We can dance like everyone is watching Have this dance for all eternity I thought my heart was full long before you arrived No heavens treasure that beats having you by my side the missing piece that fits the hole that I never knew I have prepared this place for you I thought my heart was full long before you arrived No heavens treasure that beats having you by my side the missing piece that fits the hole that I never knew I have prepared this place for you I still do, it’s true I have prepared this place for you

Rose & violet sky on New Year’s Day Before the birds had anything to say There’s a few sets of eyelashes still closed at dawn That I begin to count my blessings on Tangerine, Cerulean, & White A pair of turtle doves they take to flight Reflections on our brightest year so far So good to know you’re right here where you are Honey, Clementine, & Indigo A single bright boy, a shimmering glimmer of hope As hazel eyes begin to catch it’s rays All my muchness to you for all of my days All my muchness to you for all of my days Lavender & Gold & Baby blue Lift up your tired eyes the world is waiting for you And as sure as the sun has begun to have caught it’s flame Silver lines the clouds as you speak my name Silver lines the clouds as you speak my name Silver lines the clouds as you speak my name

Sunchild 03:19
You sailed down from your blue balloon & stole a sliver from the moon You sly devil the angels swooned for you Beside myself by the riverbank We were sitting on a cornflake Your Mother & the waters began to break Like a Blackbird in the dead of night I’ve awaited you for my whole life You’re my son & I know you’re gunna shine Sunchild, you’re gunna grow wild So won’t you let us see you smile? Sunchild, so tender & mild Oh won’t you let us see you smile? Amethyst & Clary Sage Same story, different page Your bell sounding out a brand new day Like a Blackbird in the dead of night I’ve awaited you for my whole life You’re my son & I know you’re gunna shine Sunchild, you’re gunna grow wild So won’t you let us see you smile? Sunchild, tender & mild Oh won’t you let us see you smile? Sunchild, you’re gunna grow wild So won’t you let us see you smile? Sunchild, so tender & mild Oh won’t you let us see you smile?

written by George Weiss / Robert Thiele I see trees of green, red roses too I see them bloom for me and you And I think to myself what a wonderful world I see skies of blue and clouds of white The bright blessed day, the dark sacred night And I think to myself what a wonderful world The colors of the rainbow so pretty in the sky Are also on the faces of people going by I see friends shaking hands saying how do you do They're really saying I love you I hear babies cry, I watch them grow They'll learn much more than I'll never know And I think to myself what a wonderful world The colors of the rainbow so pretty in the sky Are also on the faces of people going by I see friends shaking hands saying how do you do They're really saying I love you I see trees of green, red roses too I see them bloom for me and you And I think to myself what a wonderful world And I think to myself what a wonderful world

about

The album that almost didn’t exist.
I’m 36 years old. I always told myself that once I hit 35 it was time to give up on music as a dream. But I also realize that music will always be a part of my life in some way. And in a way I do get to live out that same dream that the kid who wanted to be John Lennon while watching “A Hard Days Night” had. I’m a Dad. There’s not a lot of time or resources to put into anything that isn’t for the family. However, I’m proud that I get to leave behind this little legacy for my boys. My story from my perspective set to the soundtrack of my life. They’ll always have their Dad’s voice saying “it’s gunna be ok” to them in my own way. And that’s what “Silver Linings” is all about.

The story began on my violinist Kelsey Crabtree’s Birthday when I decided to listen to my own Spotify page. I discovered that I’d been telling a story since the “Come Together” album. And as it shuffled through each song and each album I realized that the story needed an ending. A bookend if you will. I wasn’t planning to make a new record. But I sent over a bunch of tunes I had written to Butch Ross and he put songs that made sense together that would make a good EP. I felt like a lot of these songs were so personal that I wondered if anyone (besides me) would even care about this record. Butch assured me that this was exactly why this record should be made.

In January of 2018 right after I had written “All of My Muchness” we started demos at Butch’s “Southern Occupation” Studio. I thought it was a solo album but Butch heard some of the songs as band tracks. So we decided that we’d record the full band songs at the studio in the Chattanooga Public Library. Mike Salter, Mike McDade, and I recorded eight songs. Later, Butch and I recorded the String and Clarinet Quartets at the sanctuary of the Soul Saving Station. I find that name is still very fitting for that place. The sanctuary was unused and still sounds amazing as you can hear.
